Getting Started
How do I create my first course?

Can I import content from another platform?
Currently, you need to upload content manually. We're working on import tools for common LMS platforms.
How many courses can I create?
Essential plan: Up to 100 courses. Pro and above: Unlimited courses.
Courses & Content
What video formats are supported?
MP4, MOV, and WebM. Maximum file size is 5GB per video.
Can learners download videos?
By default, no. You can enable downloads per course in Course Settings → Content → Allow Downloads.
How long does video processing take?
Usually 1-2 minutes for standard videos. Longer videos (1+ hour) may take up to 10 minutes.
Can I embed YouTube videos instead of uploading?
Yes! Use the Embed lesson type and paste your YouTube URL.
Do you support SCORM?
Not currently. SCORM import is on our roadmap for 2026.
Learners & Access
Is there a limit to how many learners I can have?
No. All plans include unlimited learners.
Can learners access courses on mobile?
Yes. Unicourse works in mobile browsers. Native iOS/Android apps coming soon.
How do learners reset their password?
They click "Forgot Password" on the login page and follow the email instructions.
Can I organize learners into groups?
Yes. Go to Learners → Groups to create teams, departments, or cohorts.
Quizzes & Certificates
Can I require a passing score?
Yes. In quiz settings, set the passing score percentage. Learners must pass to continue or receive a certificate.
How do I issue certificates?
Enable certificates in Course Settings. Learners receive them automatically upon completion (if they meet requirements).
Can I customize the certificate design?
Yes. Go to Settings → Certificates to upload your own template or customize colors and text.
Can learners retake quizzes?
You control this per quiz. Set "Attempts Allowed" in quiz settings (1 = no retakes, unlimited = infinite retakes).
Branding & Customization
Can I use my own domain?
Yes! Set up a custom domain in Settings → Branding. See Custom Branding for instructions.
How do I remove the "Powered by Unicourse" badge?
This requires a Pro or Business plan with white-label enabled. Contact support to enable.
Can I customize the login page?
You can add your logo and colors. Full login page customization is available on Enterprise plans.
Billing & Account
How do I upgrade my plan?
Go to Settings → Billing → Change Plan. See Billing for details.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions.
Can I pay annually?
Yes. Annual billing saves you 2 months (pay for 10, get 12).
What happens if I cancel?
You retain access until the end of your billing period. Data is kept for 30 days after, then deleted.
Technical Issues
Video won't play
Try these steps:
- Refresh the page
- Try a different browser (Chrome recommended)
- Clear browser cache
- Check your internet connection
If problems persist, contact support with the video URL.
I can't upload files
Check:
- File size (max 5GB for video, 100MB for documents)
- File format (see supported types)
- Browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari)
Course progress isn't saving
- Ensure you're logged in
- Check for browser extensions blocking storage
- Try disabling ad blockers
Emails aren't being received
Check spam/junk folder. Add @unicourse.io to your safe senders. If using custom domain, verify SPF/DKIM records.
