Create Your First Course

Get your first course live in about 10 minutes.

Step 1: Create a New Course

  1. From the Dashboard, click + New Course
  2. Enter a course title (e.g., "Employee Onboarding")
  3. Add a description (2-3 sentences explaining what learners will gain)
  4. Upload a cover image (recommended: 1280x720px)
  5. Click Create Course

Step 2: Add Your Content

Courses are organized into Modules, and modules contain Lessons.

Create a Module

  1. Click + Add Module
  2. Enter a module title (e.g., "Getting Started")
  3. Click Save

Add a Lesson

  1. Inside your module, click + Add Lesson
  2. Choose a lesson type:
    • Video — Upload or embed video content
    • Document — PDFs, slides, or text
    • Quiz — Test learner knowledge
    • Assignment — Open-ended submissions
  3. Enter the lesson title
  4. Add your content
  5. Click Save Lesson

Upload a Video

  1. Click Upload Video or drag and drop your file
  2. Supported formats: MP4, MOV, WebM (max 5GB)
  3. Wait for processing (usually 1-2 minutes)
  4. Add optional video description or transcript

Step 3: Configure Course Settings

  1. Click the Settings tab in your course
  2. Set access type:
    • Open — Anyone with the link can enroll
    • Invite Only — Only invited learners can access
    • Paid — Require payment to enroll (coming soon)
  3. Enable/disable certificates
  4. Set completion requirements (e.g., complete all lessons, pass quiz)
  5. Click Save Settings

Step 4: Publish Your Course

  1. Preview your course by clicking Preview
  2. When ready, click Publish
  3. Your course is now live and can accept learners

Tips for Great Courses

  • Keep videos short — 5-10 minutes per video works best
  • Add quizzes — Reinforce learning with knowledge checks
  • Use clear titles — Help learners navigate easily
  • Include resources — Downloadable docs add value
